For three days, starting on Friday, the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon will only be accepting emergency cases.
The change will take effect at 4:00 p.m.
The hospital says the move is to facilitate the installation of a new ducting system and to undertake other renovation works.
Persons are encouraged to utilise the other health facilities in the parish.
“The team apologises for the inconvenience that may arise and crave the understanding of clients as they seek to enhance service delivery and ensure the continued safety of clients and staff.”
Normal operations are to resume on Monday, October 1 at 8:00 a.m.
