Police yesterday morning foiled a break-in at the Scotiabank at the Oxford House, Oxford Road in St Andrew. Up to press time, one man was in custody and two were on the run. According to reports, approximately 4:30 a.m., two thieves broke through a window and entered the building, ransacking the office, while attempting to steal items. Following a standoff, approximately 9:00 am, the police emerged from the building with one of the suspects. The police said a white vehicle was spotted nearby and sped off when they approached.
