Year round, tropical fashion is one of the highlights of living the island life. As international designers and fashion icons gear up for an icy winter, our regional trendsetters are keeping it light and easy with their latest creations. Inspired by European styles, infused with Jamaican culture, the Touch of France La Hot Couture Fashion show, held at the Spanish Court Hotel, recently debuted their latest innovations.
Whether you're a young female hipster, with a flair for tulle-sleeved midriffs, or a mature dame, looking to strike an elegant chord, The Rock's foremost womenswear designers (think Courtney Washington, Heather Laine and Kadian Nicely) joined Jamaican goldsmith Duane Bennett of Reve Jewellery and Accessories, and visiting Guadeloupe designer Eliette Lesuperbe, to showcase their new collections.
The chic event was a joint partnership with the Embassy of France, the Tourism Enhancement Fund and Club France Jamaica. Starring a hot-stepping cast from model agency, Saint International, the show provided stylish notes of what ladies should consider adding to their wardrobes for the upcoming holidays.
