The National Works Agency (NWA) has implemented traffic change in Manor Park, St Andrew in order to facilitate the completion of road improvement works in the area under the Constant Spring Road major project.
Manager, Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, explains that the section of Constant Spring Road between the new Grosvenor Terrace Bridge and Olivier Road will be closed.
Shaw says as a result of the closure both north and southbound traffic will be redirected onto a temporary detour road located on the western side of the corridor where the Constant Spring Market was located.
The provisional roadway will consist of three driving lanes.
Traffic travelling south towards Half-Way-Tree will be accommodated in two lanes while motorists heading north will use the extreme left lane.
Southbound motorists should keep left of the temporary median near the Total Gas Station.
These motorists will still be able to access Olivier Road directly, where the road closure ends.
Northbound motorists are to use the new concrete bridge at Grosvenor Terrace to make the loop around Manor Park Square to get to locations on the eastern side of Constant Spring Road including Manor Park Plaza.
The temporary Bailey Bridge will continue to accommodate motorists seeking to access Stony Hill Road from the direction of Norbrook Drive.
The traffic change will remain in effect for the duration of the works on the Constant Spring Road project.
