LIMA, Peru:
Megan Tapper earned a bronze medal for Jamaica with her third-place finish in the women’s 100m hurdles final here this afternoon.
Tapper clocked a time of 13.01 seconds, finishing behind Costa Rica’s Andrea Vargas, who won in 12.82 seconds and the USA’s Chanel Brissett, who took the silver in 12.99 seconds.
“To God be the glory,” Tapper said after the race. “I was still not at my best, clearly, 13.0, but I’m really really really really really really grateful I was able to pull off a bronze.”
Yanique Thompson, the other Jamaican in the race, was fourth and clocked 13.11 seconds.
