Jamaican sprinters Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson and Joinelle Smith have booked their spot in the Women's 100m final at the IAAF World Championships to commence at 3:20 p.m. this afternoon.
Thompson came second in the first semi-final in 11.00 seconds, behind Ivorian Marie Ta-Lou who won the race in 10.87 seconds.
Smith placed second in the second semi-final in 11.06 seconds.
Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain came first in a season's best of 10.87 seconds.
Pryce, the three-time world champion, laid down the challenge to the field, winning the third semi-final in 10.81 seconds.
Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast came second in 11.05 seconds.
