Melting Pot Restaurant and Lounge is intensifying the adventure through its new and delicious vegetarian haute cuisine dishes.
Sticking to its tasty reputation, the Knutsford Court Hotel-based food sanctum continues to offer exquisite Caribbean flavours on it recently released menu. Populated with tropical flavours, options from the à la carte list are perfectly prepared with fine details by Executive Chef Mark Dekrines and his talented culinary team.
“Vegetarian dishes were always on the menu, but we decided to expand the choices available based on the demand. People want to eat more healthily and we wanted to suit the needs of those who are looking for healthier meals,” Executive Chef Dekrines told Food.
The culinary artists have experimented with a number of the regions favourite fruits and foods. Now, you can savour the moment with new dressings that include guava pineapple, mango vinaigrette, and tamarind. The traditional options are still available.
“The new menu brings out the theme of the restaurant, a melting pot of Caribbean cuisine. There’s something for everyone, and the dishes combine various island flavours creating a fantastic fusion. Each dish is made with local ingredients, and our creative team of chefs tried different pairings until they came up with the new dishes,” the chef said.
So, what should you have on the menu? Everything! Just let your palate have its way. However, there are some must-have meals which the chef strongly recommends. The Jamaican ratatouille is one.
“We’re all familiar with the French dish, ratatouille, but ours has a Jamaican twist. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the bursts of flavour, especially with the ripe plantains being added,” he boasted.
Entrées, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, soups or salads, there is definitely a meal for you there. You won’t be disappointed.
