Brian Donohue – who studies maths at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville – got a jackpot-winning lottery ticket from the Bank A Million draw as a gift from his mother during the festive period.
The ticket was from the December 22nd draw and the winning number combination of 4-8-21-25-32-35 made the student a millionaire – defying odds of one in 3.8 million.
Brian says that he will use part of his winnings to pay for his college education – as well as that of his sister's – but he was unsure of what else he will do with the jackpot.
