Edwin Allen's Christopher Young has qualified for the finals of the boys' javelin with the longest throw at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships currently on inside the National Stadium in Kingston.
Young's effort of 55.28 metres leads the 12-man field that will contest the final on Saturday.
Jaeden Teka of Kingston College had the second-longest distance with 54.67 and Jamaica College's Lebron James qualified with 53.77.
The other finalists include Domonique Wint of Dinthill Technical, Petersfield High's Quewayne Brown, Jamaica College's Gabriel Lim, St Elizabeth Technical's Thierry Robinson, Marshal Waite of Spot Valley High, Leonardo Miller of Calabar, Clarendon College's James Coley, Tarique Daley also of Calabar and Michael Clarke of Excelsior High.
