The Jamaica Football Federation has ratified the decision to appoint Dennis Chung as its new general secretary.

Chung confirmed to The Gleaner this evening that the JFF board approved the decision with discussions to take place this week on finalising the contract with JFF president Michael Ricketts. Chung is scheduled to assume office on November 1.

Chung replaces Dalton Wint who signalled his intention to resign in June after players demanded his departure following travel issues encountered during their Concacaf Nations League campaign. Chung served previously as chairman of the JFF Finance Committee.
