Three months into the new year and the entertainment calendar is ablaze with events which are making their jolly post-pandemic return. BRT Weekend, the beach event in Ocho Rios will make its grand return from March 10 to 12, and the promoters say that they are preparing for a large overseas contingent.
“We are expecting a large turnout,” Karelle Chang, one of the organisers told The Gleaner. “So far, 85 per cent of our ticket holders are from overseas.”
They have secured a partnership with leading cognac brand, Hennessy Jamaica, which has been announced as the official title sponsor.
Regional Marketing Manager at J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, distributors for Hennessy Kamal Powell, shared that the team is proud to announce its partnership with the event.

BRT Weekend, a popular annual event series, features a weekend of Caribbean-inspired entertainment and culture, including music, food, and partying. The celebration will also see appearances from some of the best local and international DJs and live performances from some of the region’s hottest acts, such as Skinny Fabulous, Valiant, Skeng, Ding Dong and much more.
