Mount Alvernia's Aaliyah Foster guaranteed a spot in the Class One long jump final at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships today.
Foster's preliminary round effort of 6.26 metres was well over the automatic qualifying mark of 5.80.
Holmwood Technical's Celine Riddle, with 5.88 metres and Excelsior High's Jade Ann Smith, with 5.81 were the other competitors who reached the automatic qualifying mark.
The rest of the final’s field is comprised of Edwin Allen's Kiara South, Jada Kamith and Shakara Mitto both of Wolmers, the St Elizabeth Technical’s duo of Richelle Stanley and Rojrika Campbell, Manchester High's Shinelle Jhagroo-Bryan, Hydel's Juwonna Whithorne, Immaculate's Onanda Lowe and St Catherine's Kavel Ritchie.
The final is set for tomorrow evening.
