BUDAPEST, Hungary:
Five-time World Championships 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and 2019 World Championship discus silver medallist Fedrick Dacres have been named team captains for Jamaica's current World Championships team.
Fraser-Pryce last served as captain at a major global meet at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, while Dacres was named captain at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
A 65-member squad was announced by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association earlier this month.
