The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is an international exchange programme that started in 1987. The programme aims to enhance foreign-language education in Japan and to promote international exchange at the local level, by fostering ties between Japan and other countries.
This year, Jamaica commemorates 23 years of excellence on the JET Programme, having sent over 400 participants, since the year 2000, to work as assistant language teachers in local authorities as well as in public and private elementary, junior and senior high schools throughout Japan.
This year, the application period opened on September 19 and will close on November 30 at 4 p.m. Applicants may download application forms and guidelines from our website at http://www.jamaica.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/jet_programme.html [1].
