The National Arena was abuzz with excitement this past weekend as, for the first time in six years, an auto show was held in Jamaica. Hosted by ATL Automotive, the Revolution Auto Show powered by Main Event Entertainment Group included automotive brands Honda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, MINI, Kia and Jamaica’s only all-electric brand, BYD.
On display were the varied model line-ups across the brands, including a mix of petrol, mild hybrid, plug-in e-hybrids and all-electric models, showcasing the diversity and technology of the automotive industry. Special highlights included the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Jamaica’s fastest 911 to date, the Audi RS Q8 and BMW XM – Jamaica’s fastest road-legal SUVs and the Audi RS e-tron GT and BYD Seal, capable of going from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds.
With over 20+ exhibitors on display, including a simulator tournament, kids crèche and F&B zone, the auto show saw over 8,000 attendees, making it Jamaica’s biggest auto show in history to date.
Sponsors included Main Event Entertainment Group, JPS Charge N’ Go, CIBC First Caribbean, RUBiS, Scotiabank, iPrint Group, Wisynco and Red Bull.
