International singer and voice coach, Tessanne Chin is kick-starting the festive season with a bang, with the presentation of ‘The Four Seasons of Christmas’, a Voice Box production.
Tessanne promises a captivating display of youth talent twinned with beloved Jamaican artistes, on Sunday, December 3 at Voice Box’s inaugural Christmas show at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
The concert will showcase the talent, creativity and ability of her students who she has been preparing for the grand showcase.
“We have been working at this for months now and I am excited and filled with pride to witness the growth, talent and dedication of these children and their parents. I am extremely excited to share how spectacular they all are with Jamaica, and I know they are just as eager to give their all on stage,” Tessanne said.
Voice Box is Tessanne’s creative development programme aimed at helping to develop the talents of children ages six to 18, while creating a space for them to explore possibilities through the creative arts. She sees it as the perfect twinning of her love for music and the creative arts and her love for children.
The concert will juxtapose the differing perspectives of Christmas in homes and the season’s ability to bring people together. The young vocalists will share the stage with recording artistes Romain Virgo, Alaine, 2023 Digicel Rising Star Remone Watson, and other special guest performers.
There will be selections from contemporary and traditional Christmas music.
“We have an amazing set of children who are supported by a fantastic group of coaches and professionals in the creative space. I can’t wait to see it all come together because I know the show will be entertaining and awe-inspiring,” an enthusiastic Tessanne declared.
Earlier this year, Tessanne’s foundation, in association with Voice Box Performing Arts and The Ashe Company, staged a free, two-week summer intensive for singing, focused on talented youth ages 6-18 from varying social backgrounds. The camp began on August 8 and culminated with a fantastic showcase on August 21 of all they had learnt.
At that event, the audience loudly expressed a desire for a Christmas concert and sponsors, including The Ashe Company, The Digicel Foundation, Wisynco, CITIDental, Island Grill, Best Dressed Chicken, Blinds Designs, Select Brands and CVM TV hopped on board.
