Lawmen seized a firearm, two magazines and a Toyota Mark X motor car following a shooting in Mahogany Hall, Trelawny on Monday.
The police report that about 9:45 a.m., residents alerted lawmen to the area where the occupants of a Toyota Mark X motor car were firing gunshots.
The team responded and conducted a cordon and search operation.
The police say the vehicle was found abandoned in the Level Bottom area in the parish.
According to the police, a Glock 17 pistol and two magazines were found in bushes near the vehicle.
The weapon and vehicle were seized for processing by detectives from the Scene of Crime Unit.
The police are appealing to the driver of the motor car to turn himself in immediately.
