Reggae artiste Anthony B will not be performing at tonight's Reggae Sumfest.
"It is with deep regret that we announce Anthony B will not be performing tonight as advertised due to unforeseen circumstances," said a statement from the entertainer's Born Fire Music LLC, adding that the cancellation "is not the fault of the promoter or the artiste".
No further details were given, but the release stated that Anthony B looks forward to performing at next year's Reggae Sumfest. "We look forward to seeing you next year for the greatest reggae show in the World – Sumfest 2025!" said the release.
Reggae Sumfest 2024 got its start last Sunday with the Sumfest Family FunDay and treated patrons to seven days and eight events. Last night's Festival Night One saw Capleton, Aidonia, Dexta Daps, YG Marley, Teejay, 450, Pablo YG, Turbulence, Munga Honorable, Kaka High Flames, Malie Donn and J’Quan hit the stage. Special guest performers included Ms Lauryn Hill, Govana and Jahshii.
Though billed, Valiant, Jada Kingdom, Kraft and Marcy Chin did not perform.
Reggae Sumfest Night Two includes performances by Babyface, Beres Hammond, Luciano, D’Yani, Ras I, Norris Boy, Nigy Boy, Sevana, and Christopher Ellis.
