In our daily lives, we notice that the things we use wear out over time. Clothes become faded, cars need repairs, gadgets stop working, etc. Eventually, we have to replace them with new ones. But have you ever wondered if there is something that doesn’t wear out no matter how much you use it? In fact, the more you use it, the better it gets?
In the world around us, ‘change’ is the only constant. Nothing here remains the same forever. Understanding and accepting this makes life easier. We must adapt to these changes to live in a better way. However, within us, things are different. The inner world follows the principle of ‘eternity’. When you look within yourself, you see that inner characteristics are eternal and not subject to change.
Soft skills, art, and inner powers actually improve with use. The art of singing, dancing, painting, brain skills, etc, gets better with practice. Using these skills creates wonders. Yet there needs to be a balance between using the skills and giving rest to the tools used for the skill whether it is body, brain, or mind.
Spiritual powers also get stronger the more we use them. The more we practise peace and love, the purer, divine, and unconditional they become. These powers affect people, our environment, and ultimately, the globe. Whether you use it for yourself, share it with others, or donate to the nature, it increases with usage and beyond any harm.
When we don’t use our skills or art, they slowly fade. If not used for long, the simplest assets like our hands or legs lose flexibility, and simple tasks become difficult. Walking or talking may become challenging if the organs are not used for a long time. Similarly, if not harnessed for long, inner powers fade to an extent where we find difficulty using them, we have risked losing the ability to delve into them. Today, anger, hatred, jealousy, etc, have become easier to access than peace and love. Remaining calm or letting go is nearly impossible. This shows that we are not using our powers, and as a result, they have weakened. Now is the time to start using them again in daily routine and nurture them.
Living a balanced life means nurturing both our outer and inner worlds. While we care about our physical needs and responsibilities, we must also nurture our spiritual well-being. Embrace change in the outer world, and remember the eternal nature of your inner world. Use it before you lose it.
