The roadblocks that were mounted by protesting residents along the Fullerswood main road in St Elizabeth have been cleared.
The residents downed trees and used other debris to block the road to register their frustration with the lack of electricity in the area since the passage of Hurricane Beryl more than a month ago.
Commander of the St Elizabeth police Superintendent Coleridge Minto says the roadway was cleared with the assistance of the fire brigade.
He says the police are maintaining a presence in the area to prevent frustrated residents from remounting the roadblocks.
