The People's National Party (PNP) has confirmed business executive Christopher Brown as its standard bearer in South East St Mary for the upcoming general elections.
The party said Brown is an established corporate leader and longtime advocate for community development, and brings a wealth of experience to this pivotal role.
The party also disclosed that Brown has roots in the districts of Camberwell and Georges Hope in the constituency, where he spent his early years.
"He is dedicated to uplifting the constituency and creating opportunities for its residents," the party said.
The PNP extended appreciation to Lorraine Ferguson, the previous caretaker for the constituency.
It said it has now finalised representatives in 62 constituencies with the final candidate to be named shortly.
