Member of Parliament for Clarendon North Central, Robert Nesta Morgan, says he stands ready to provide support to the families of the two students who were killed in this morning's crash along the Bustamante Highway.
The deceased where students at Lennon High School in the parish.
Three other students from the school were injured in the two-vehicle crash.
One of them is said to be in critical condition.
“To the grieving families, please know that my thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support are with you during this unimaginable time. I also extend my support to the parents of the three students who were injured, one of whom is still in critical condition.
“As a parent myself, I understand the fear and uncertainty you must be facing, and I stand ready to aid in any way possible as you navigate this difficult road,” said Morgan.
He said he has briefed Prime Minister Andrew Holness about the incident, who has expressed his condolences and pledged the Government's continued support to all those affected.
“To the grieving parents, please know you are not alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.”
