Twenty-two-year-old fisherman, Romeo Dixon, of Burkefield Meadow, Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine, has been charged with the murder of another fisherman on November 19.
He is also charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
The Old Harbour Bay Police say about 9:38 p.m., the victim, 47-year-old Oneil Fogah, of Bay Bottom, Old Harbour Bay, and a woman were patrons at a birthday party when several loud explosions were heard.
When the shooting subsided, Fogah and the woman were seen with gunshot wounds.
The police were summoned and, upon their arrival, both victims were assisted to the hospital where Fogah was pronounced dead, and the woman admitted.
Further investigations led to Dixon's arrest.
His court date is being finalised.
