St Thomas fisherman, Carlton Brown, who is charged with possession of 192 pounds of ganja, was again remanded when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday.
Brown is charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, taking steps to export ganja, conspiracy and possession of criminal property.
When the matter came up for mention it was revealed that Brown refused to accompany police personnel to verify his address without the presence of his attorney Hensely Williams.
The attorney told the court that he will be accompanying his client and asked that the matter be reconvened on December 10 for the completion of the bail application.
Senior parish court judge Yvette Wentworth-Miller then remanded the 27-year-old accused.
It is alleged that on November 13, detectives from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division were on operation along the highway in St Catherine when a Suzuki Grand Vitara being driven by Brown was signalled to stop.
During the search of the vehicle several packages with vegetable matter resembling ganja were allegedly discovered.
The police also reportedly discovered $200,000 inside the vehicle.
He was arrested and charged after an investigation was completed.
