Kingston College (KC) copped their 11th ISSA Olivier Shield title in a nerve-wracking 4-3 win on penalties over Garvey Maceo after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) Sports Complex on Saturday.
Garvey Maceo's Omarian O'Brian scored in the 65th minute.
They were minutes away from history when an own goal by Tyreek McKenley gave KC a fighting chance as the game was pushed into penalties.
KC then denied the 'Cubanz' their first title and silenced them in a 4-3 win in the penalty shootout.
The win is mission accomplished for KC who are celebrating their 100th anniversary.
The Olivier Shield was once the symbol of all-island supremacy in schoolboy football but has been overtaken in recent years by the Champions Cup. It, however, remains a very coveted trophy and an important clash between the champions of rural schoolboy football and the urban winners.
