The main suspect in the gruesome murder of veteran court reporter Barbara Gayle has been captured.
He was arrested by the police while hiding in bushes in Grange Lane, St Catherine.
Earlier today, Gayle's stolen vehicle was found along Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine.
Gayle was discovered murdered inside her Caymanas Estate home in St Catherine by a neighbour around 10:00 a.m. yesterday.
The last known sighting of Gayle was about 3:30 p.m. on Monday, when she was seen sitting on her front porch conversing with a man, neighbours recalled.
The man, whose identity was yet to be determined by the police up to late yesterday, was later captured on a doorbell camera footage calmly interacting with Gayle as she offered him a glass of water.
The police said they are pursuing “strong leads” to crack the case.
