A strong earthquake that hit off the coast of Cuba was felt across sections of Jamaica early Monday morning.
The quake had a magnitude of 6.1 and occurred at 1:00 a.m. Jamaica time, according to the Earthquake Unit.
The unit says the epicentre was located at approximately 165 km north of Ocho Rios, St Ann.
The quake had a focal depth of 10 km.
