The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) brought cheer to approximately 30 pupils of the Marcus Garvey Basic School during its annual treat on Tuesday, December 17.
The pupils, aged three to six years, received refreshments and toys from the association during its year-end celebration at the Greenwich Farm institution in Kingston.
The SAJ team comprised Dionne Mason-Gordon, operations manager; Jean Hinds-Bell, internal auditor; Camille Spence, receivables supervisor; Toni-Ann Williams, accounting clerk; and Sonya Hall, Caribbean Shipping Association administrative and training coordinator.
The initiative is part of SAJ’s year-round assistance to the school which includes salary assistance, a feeding programme, and assistance with its Toddlers’ Camp.
The SAJ also presented care packages to 50 elderly residents of the Greenwich Town community during its twice-monthly free clinic the previous week. Greenwich Town is the community closest to Port Bustamante, where SAJ and most of its members conduct their business.
