Gas prices up by $7.70 per litre as new tax takes effect

The state-owned oil refinery Petrojam today announced new prices for gasoline to reflect the additional $7 per litre in Special Consumption Tax announced by the Finance Minister Audley Shaw yesterday.

Petrojam says a litre of gasoline, automotive diesel oil and ultra low sulphur diesel will all go up by $7.70.

As a result, E10 87 gasoline will sell for $101.28 while E10 90 will sell for $102.93.

A litre of automotive diesel oil will sell for $93.90 and ultra low sulphur diesel will sell for $102.13.

In the meantime, Petrojam says there is no change in the prices of the other petroleum products kerosene, propane cooking gas and butane.

Yesterday, the price of kerosene moved to $81.46 per litre following a $0.04 cut.

Propane cooking gas moved up by $0.03 to sell for $33.85 per litre.

Butane moved up by $0.6 to sell for $39.52 per litre.
