Tamia Carey Collection: Royalty

These are the words of designer Tamia Carey of her new line. Carey said her inspiration was "the softer side of the feminine form. Coming from the Latina Collection which was sexy and fierce, I wanted to show the versatility of us women. We can be sexy and soft as well, and that's OK".
The Royal Collection, she said, is for the woman who is soft-spoken but still commands attention; the woman who embraces her inner queen.
Deep amethyst, elegant emeralds and regal sapphires, play a starring role in this collection. With rich colours and majestic hemlines, the line is sure to crown a queen in any woman. "Our previous collections have always embraced the female form, and have always screamed, 'I'm sexy!' This collection is a bit softer; it is saying 'I am queen, I can rule, but I am also soft and romantic'. It speaks to the fact that women are not just any one thing; we are dynamic."
The Royal Collection is undeniably romantic - all while being fun. Carey included a few pieces that accentuate the waistline as well as the neckline. You will feel like twirling when wearing any of these dresses.
Carey noted that her Ardenne Road, St Andrew, store has seen an increase in demand for custom designs, from prom dresses to bridesmaids, as well as special-occasion dresses. These designs can be modified easily to fit the Jamaican woman who is cutting-edge and knows what she wants. "I really appreciate the love and support that has helped me grow here to year six. I hope they love this collection as much as I do," said Carey as she gave Outlook a sneak peak at The Royal Collection.
