KSAC announces Enterprise Assistance Programme

The Kingston and St Andrew Corporation is to implement its Kingston Enterprise Assistance Programme (KEAP) as it seeks to facilitate and provide a supporting environment to micro, small, and medium enterprises.
KEAP will be launched on November 9.
Entering its second round, KEAP aims to give support to women and youth in Kingston and St Andrew through the provision of $2 million in grants ranging from $50,000 to $130,000.
In addition to the grants, awardees will receive mentorship from successful business leaders and experts for up to six months after being awarded, as well as training from reputable industry players.
All start-up applicants will undergo an entrepreneurial boot camp prior to applying to the programme, after which applications will be assessed and awardees identified.
The Caribbean Local Economic Development Project (CARILED) has agreed to partner with the council to implement this.
Other partnerships include the SDC, the JBDC, the Young Entrepreneurs' Association of Jamaica, the Small Business Association of Jamaica, among others.

- Business Start-up Category (15 grants @ up to $50,000 each)
- Business Development Category (six grants @ up to $100,000 each)
- Wage Subsidy Category (five grants @ up to $130,000 each)
