SAJ delivers cutting-edge customer workshop
The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) has increased service delivery to its members and the wider business community in 2017 by offering more workshops for professionals. On July 19, the association presented the Cutting-edge Customer Workshop. It was attended by professionals from the shipping, logistics, utilities and manufacturing industries, among others.
Terrence Brooks, human resource manager of the SAJ, explained that "the association is always exploring ways to add more value to its members and stakeholders, and the enthusiasm for these workshops, and excellent attendance, show that once again, we have found a way to add value".
VERY INFORMATIVE
Workshop attendee Alecia Bolt of Spanish Grain Store commented that the workshop was "very informative" and commended the presenter for doing a "great job". Another participant, Noel Thomas of Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, shared that he found the workshop "informative and insightful". He added that "the trainer showed excellent awareness of the real world of the customer service professional". The presenter was Tamara Whyte, an internationally certified customer service professional, who gained her expertise through her work in higher education and investment banking.
The association will continue to add more workshops in response to the great demand from the business community for additional training to prepare for the challenges and opportunities of operating in a growing economy.
