The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival returns to the Miramar Regional Park on Sunday with delicious traditional cuisine and live performances by Elephant Man, Shuga and Nigy Boy.

A cultural and culinary highlight, the festival has been hailed over the years for blending Jamaican food, music and family entertainment. Each year, scores of enthusiastic guests gather to immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural Caribbean experience, making it a must-attend celebration of the region’s rich heritage.

In addition to the three live performances, Jamaican comedian and host Chris Daley and Chalice and The Fantells will own the stage, while DJ Radcliffe, Richie D, Extatic Sound and DJ Worm will man the turntables.

One major highlight from the event will be ‘food fights’ between chefs Alaine Lemaire and Winston Williams; media personalities Alexis Frazier from Local 10 News and Kris Anderson from NBC 6 Miami; and social media influencers Cheyenne Rodney and Monica Gonzales.

Already, many Jamaican chefs have also been posting social media videos highlighting the menus they will bring to the table at the signature event, such as Chef Reece from Chef Reece Kitchen.

Hazel Maragh, marketing consultant, GraceKennedy Limited, noted that there will be several treats at the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival including a culinary pavilion, a food court, corporate exhibitors, kids activities, Jamaican merchandise for sale, giveaways and the unveiling of the Grace Onion Jerk Seasoning.

“We will have discounts and bargains. It will be better than what the stores are selling. We have some exciting things and we also have some new things coming out. So, as you enter the jerk festival, there will be the hydration tent where you’ll get a cool Grace Coconut Water to drink or Grace Tropical Rhythms. On entering the park, you can go either to the patty sampling area where we will be sampling our Grace patties. That will be the Grace mild beef, spicy beef, curried chicken and for the vegans, the vegetable patties,” Maragh said.
