JCF reviewing policeman-Guardsman employees case

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says it is reviewing the case involving the policeman whose accusations against two Guardsman employees were contradicted by video footage. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of the Inspectorate of Constabulary, Delworth Heath, said this morning that the matter is being looked into. 

However, he could not say when it will be completed. 

Raymond Robinson and Ian Firth were freed of illegal possession of firearm and inflicting bodily harm on a policeman arising from an incident at an ATM in August last year in May Pen.

The policeman had claimed that he went to the machine located outside the Parkview Supermarket when three men pulled a firearm on him and assaulted him without lawful justification. 

However, following the submission of the video footage, the court ruled that there was no evidence that the men did anything wrong.
