For the second consecutive year, the PAN title has been claimed by a St Ann resident.

Forty-six-year old Eric Bever claimed the ultimate prize at the PAN 2017 finals at the Transport Centre in Half-Way Tree yesterday. Beaver placed second for his parish in Regional 2, and has been doing pan chicken for over 20 years. He wanted to move from his current location in Faith's Pen to somewhere less competitive like Moneague.

Earlier this month he told The Gleaner,  "A woman named Miss Maxie was the one who taught me, and I have been doing this since 1994. You have the good times and the bad times, but I remain true to my craft."
