New, improved home for Molynes United

Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League outfit Molynes United Football Club are moving to a new home.
The club, which has been training and hosting games at Chalmers Avenue for a number of years, will now be relocated to Jacisera Park, off the Molynes Road.
The facility, which is owned by the Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA), will be refurbished by Digicel. The ground, which will have two football fields, is being developed by Brancourt Sports Marketing company.
Ground-breaking took place yesterday in the presence of chairman of the Molynes United Club, Eurado Cornwall; Member of Parliament Dr Peter Phillips; Justin Morin, chief executive officer for Digicel Jamaica; and president of the JCSA, Oniel Grant
Molynes United were forced to find a new playing field after owners Digicel took control of the Chalmers Avenue property.
Cornwall said the new facility will help to enhance the club's quest to win this year's KSAFA Super League competition.
"I feel good because in this community, we are short of good surfaces on which to play our football and to develop our youths to get to the next level," said Cornwall. "We have a good chance in the Super League, and this new facility will certainly help us to push further in winning this competition and move on to the Confederation play-offs."
Phillips said the new fields will further help to develop football in the area.
"Digicel has been very kind in facilitating the transfer of location for Molynes United from Chalmers Avenue. I think this can benefit everyone, and most of all, I am hopeful that it will help to build the spirit and morale of the community, and in fact, build the bond of unity and healthy social living among the members of the community," he said.
Meanwhile, Morin said that his company is committed to helping with the development of sports in the country.
"It's a really big project because it has taken a lot of effort to bring this to light," said Morin. "Our team has put in a lot of hard work. Both Digicel and Sportsmax came together with the Molynes Football Club, Jacisera, and Dr Peter Phillips and so we are really pleased ... .
"We are investing a lot in bringing this facility up to a world-class field, and we are really happy to do this for the Molynes United Football Club," Morin added.
