Chantomi Taylor of St George's College leaps over Cumberland High's goalkeeper Joshua Clarke during their ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup match at Winchester Park, St George's College, yesterday.

St George's College's assistant coach, Marcel Gayle, hailed his team's goalscoring form following their 6-1 victory over Cumberland High in a ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup match at Winchester Park yesterday.

Chantomoi Taylor (fourth and 21st), Damani Harris (17th and 53rd) and substitute Emelio Rousseau (50th and 90th) were the scorers for the Neville 'Bertis' Bell-coached team, which led 3-1 at half time.

Leonard James scored for Cumberland in 24th minute.

St George's, who were recording their second straight win in the competition, have now scored 13 goals from two matches while conceding two.

While happy with his team's offensive performance, Gayle said that there was still room for improvement.

"We got six goals and we could have scored more," said Gayle.

"We have a platform to build on, and so we are just going to continue working," he added.

Meanwhile, Kemar Brown coach of Cumberland High, said that his team's poor defensive display cost them the match.

"Football is a game where you have to defend and attack, and I think we didn't defend any at all against this St George's team," said Brown. Cumberland have just a point from two matches.
