Courts Jamaica, through its 'Dare to Dream' scholarship programme, is offering financial assistance to needy parents and guardians of Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) students. Applications for the annual scholarship opened on Monday in continuance of the development of education in Jamaica.

The scholarship programme seeks to help students achieve their educational goals while giving back to loyal customers and will award 28 recipients who have excelled academically, a scholarship valued at $100,000 for one academic year.

For grade-seven student and Courts Dare to Dream 2017 GSAT recipient Sarah Williams, her dreams of being a doctor are now being realised since being awarded her scholarship.

"I'm very grateful that with the help of Courts, I was able to offset the cost of my school fees and books," explained Williams.

"The scholarship programme has been a big lesson to me, to provide help to friends and other persons in need when I can. I am fortunate that my dreams to become a doctor are going to be achieved."

The budding swimmer continues to excel academically and has already made her school's honour roll.

Over the past 30 years, Courts Jamaica has invested millions to provide financial assistance to needy customers, or their dependents, with their educational goals.
