Bail extended for entertainer Capleton

Popular entertainer Capleton, who is facing a rape charge, had his bail extend and was ordered to return to court on July 13 when his case was mentioned in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court this morning.

Capleton, whose real name is Clifton Bailey, is out on $250,000 bail.

The prosecution was also ordered to make disclosure to the defence by next Thursday, June 21.

Capleton, 51, was charged on May 11 on allegations that he had sexual intercourse with a hairdresser, who he hired to groom his hair, against her will at a hotel in New Kingston on April 28.
