Last Thursday, the Caribbean Climate-Smart Accelerator was launched – a groundbreaking partnership to support the Caribbean’s ambition to become the world’s first ‘climate-smart zone’. Heads of agencies and other dignitaries from across the Caribbean and Latin America were present, and in addition to this, eight-time Olympic goldmedal winner Usain Bolt was also present to announce the Accelerator Speed Award which highlights those making a significant contribution towards a climate-smart reality for the Caribbean.
