Waterford High's Kemar Brissett (left) and Wolmer's Boys Uayone Bernard battle for the ball during their Manning Cup encounter at Heroes Circle on Tuesday. Wolmer's won 2-0.

Christopher Bender, head coach of Camperdown High, expects a tough encounter when his team travels to Maxfield Park today to face Norman Manley in Group C of their ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup.

Camperdown, who last won the competition in 1982, will be seeking their third straight win this season after identical 1-0 victories over Eltham and Meadowbrook, respectively.

Bender said his team has been getting better as the season progresses, but he is expecting a fierce contest at Norman Manley.

"We are expecting a difficult encounter playing away to Norman Manley, but we are prepared and we want to go there and do our best," said Bender.

"The team's confidence is quietly building because we have played two games and we have won two and hopefully, we can continue this run," he said.

Bender added that he has assembled a very rounded team for this year's competition and everyone is very focused on the task ahead.

Camperdown will look to Shawn Daley, Ronaldo Clarke, Odaine Wilson and Shaquiel Wilson to lead their charge for victory.

Norman Manley are still searching for their first win in the competition, after they played out a 2-2 draw with Eltham on Tuesday. Their opening match against Jonathan Grant last Saturday, was rained out.

Meanwhile, in the group's other games, high-flying Charlie Smith High will be seeking their third straight win the competition when they play away to Eltham and Jonathan Grant will host Meadowbrook.
