In 2018, the International Narcotics Control Board issued a limit of 91.9 tonnes on global cannabis production (cultivation) for pharmacological and scientific purposes. Colombia was the country with the highest quota of 40.5 tons, followed by the US with 33.4 tons, and Israel with 10.1 tons.
