In celebration of strength, ambition, excellence within their different fields and just being woman, the Flair m agazine paid tribute to 25 phenomenal women earlier this week at The Spanish Court Hotel.

After an invigorating round of games, inspiring speeches and presentations, ‘The Distinguished’ were treated to their celebratory meal, which was perfectly paired with Appleton Estate cocktails crafted by Master Blender Joy Spence.

The gracious serving staff started the flawless dining experience with a fresh green salad enhanced with a citrus vinaigrette. The light yet incredibly tasty appetiser was well appreciated and stimulated the appetites of the specially invited guests. The crisp crunch of the lettuce and juicy tomatoes was an enjoyable treat for even those who are not particularly fond of vegetables.

With an open appetite and hearty conversations punctuated by laughter, the gathering was ready to indulge in Spanish Court’s Pan Seared Snapper Fillet garnished with a tropical fruit sauce, and the Chicken Florentine, which is chicken breast stuffed with seasoned callaloo and ricotta cheese, served with sautéed vegetables and potatoes and herbed rice. A mouthful indeed that lessened the chatter for a bit, as persons took the time to appreciate and enjoy the perfect blend of flavours and spices that gave a great gastronomical experience. The Master’s sensational Appleton Estate Reserve Blend Brown Sugar Daiquiri sealed the meal and had persons in the right spirits for the remainder of the function.

The flow of the meal and cocktails surely enhanced the dining experience, as the time between courses allowed all the elements to come together, resulting in a truly distinguished affair. The icing on the cake was the marriage of the white chocolate cheesecake and the Appleton Estate Old Fashioned.
