KC beat JC to join Clarendon in Champions Cup final
Kingston College booked their spot in the ISSA Champions Cup final after a dramatic 3-2 penalty shoot-out win over Jamaica College, after a 1-1 regulation scoreline in their semi-final at the National Stadium on Saturday.
They will now face Clarendon College, which got the better of Cornwall College 3-0 in the earlier semi-final, in next week's final at the same venue.
In a rain affected semi, Demario McCarthy fired Kingston College into the lead on the stroke of half-time, to close out a strong first half performance from the 'Purples'.
Jamaica College, however, came out in the second half with new purpose, pushing their opponents on the back foot, and eventually got their equaliser in the 84th minute from a Shadane Lopez header.
Both teams tried, but failed to get the go-ahead goal in the remaining minutes, leaving it to penalties to decide the outcome of the contest.
KC, kept their poise in the ensuing penalty shoot-out, to secure a return to the final, where they will be looking to reclaim the trophy they won in 2017.
