Tumbling down

The walls cave in tight

The bricks shift their place

In one sudden gaze

The day has changed to night,

The stars shimmer in the sky

The ground shimmys to the right

All that’s in front of me

dazzles in my sight

My vision breaks away

and my world flees to decay

My arm becomes weak

And I can’t source what words to say

This pain in my brain

Leaves me in a unfamiliar place

Heavy leg and heavy arms and

a one-sided droopy face

I cry for a yesterday

Where this was not the case

I move my mouth

but what comes out

is not the intended sound

My eyes well up with tears

As I lay in bed

flared up in fears

From seeing my familiar world

fade into the unfound

And everything around me

comes tumbling down.
