'Gourmet Food Done Fast'. That's the 'plate to palate' mantra of Di Grill Shack Limited. Located on Phoenix Avenue, the restaurant has been offering scrumptious signature meals since 2012. According to General Manager Jennile Berth, "It was born out of the vision for providing quality food in family-friendly and fast-food models. The aim was to offer great food made from quality ingredients at an affordable price. Di Grill Shack caters to the needs of our customers so that they can share experiences and create memorable moments."

The eatery has been making an indelible mark in the food industry since opening, creating quite a name for itself. But being a full-service restaurant with COVID-19 restrictions has presented unfair shares of challenges. "Nevertheless, we had to adjust to our new reality," Berth added, restructuring the way of thinking and shifting focus to getting the food to customers via increased delivery options and kerbside pickups.

The food hub is currently in partnership with mobile and online food delivery apps 7krave, Pekkish and Cutdline, who all deliver within the Kingston area. House delivery, she said, is also available to customers who call in to place their orders; the cost is based on the customers? location. ?Our opening hours have also been shifted to an earlier time to allow foodies to get a taste of our food, given the current situation,? she said.

Understanding the economic strain of the novel virus, Di Grill Shack has taken even greater measures to satisfy your hunger by incorporating affordably priced lunch specials to the menu, serving local favourites such as oxtail, curried goat and many other dishes from Mondays to Fridays. "We provide a variety of options in addition to our core menu with daily changes to our lunch specials."

Consultant for food and beverage, Colin Bruce, shared that the food at Di Grill Shack Limited is unique because it is authentic. "Several of our sauces are created by us; our top-secret BBQ sauce that is used on our grill BBQ burger, and our strawberry-pineapple sauce used on our Hawaiian grill burger." It's no wonder the grill BBQ burger and the Hawaiian grill burger are crowd-pleasing 'faves'. Using 100 per cent grass-fed beef that is on the healthy side, he explained, also makes the food served spectacular. The love and passion that is put into grilling or cooking to perfection: a warm and welcoming partnership.

Berth could attest to the barbecue sauce, highlighting that it gives dishes that extra 'oomph' to make it a memorable and flavourful experience that will have customers wanting for more.

Other signature dishes include creamy Cajun shrimp pasta, smoked pork chops, ribs, braised oxtail, curried goat and fried chicken. Make sure to try the Chef's Surprise.
