Shaggy, the Reggae 6 man to watch

SHAGGY notched his second Reggae 6 bet for consecutive Saturdays, spotting last weekend’s $51,061 payout with an outlay of $1,800, enhancing his reputation as the tipster to watch for the rich bet, which will have a mandatory payout on Sunday, possibly exceeding $8 million, should there be no single-winning ticket on Saturday.

Using FURTHER AND BEYOND as his only banker last Saturday, Shaggy’s key to landing Saturday’s Reggae 6 were his selections in the third race, 9-1 winner, DRACARYS, and off-the-board BIG MAMA, totally ignoring the favourite, ZABRATONE.

The previous week, Shaggy became the second tipster to grab a Reggae 6, after The Clockman, using $2,160 to corner the $15,594 payout. Having taken sole leadership of the ‘Most Reggae 6’ incentive, Shaggy is now in pole position to claim that sectional prize of $10,000 in the Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited Reggae 6 and Twilight 6 Tipsters Competition.

Meanwhile, Indian Flame has sprinted clear of The Clockman in the race to decide October’s winner of the $10,000 Most Wins category. Starting last weekend on 19 wins, one ahead of The Clockman, Indian Flame stayed clear by picking up one winner more than his rival on either day.

Indian Flame is on 27 winners to The Clockman’s 24. However, having differed in six races on Saturday’s final day, The Clockman is not to be discounted in his bid to complete the August-October hat-trick.
