We should demand accountability from workers

THE EDITOR, Madam:

This is with reference to The Sunday Gleaner of December 4, ‘Cheap approach by Government blamed for unkempt bathrooms’. I wouldn’t blame him [Dr Christopher Tufton], but a lot a these so-called managers and supervisors need to be fired; all they do is collect government money for nothing.

I agree with Dr (Morais) Guy to some extent: when you have a portfolio as a minister, it’s your responsibility to check to see that things are working. Also, why are most of these hospitals, police stations and government-owned buildings run down to nothing?

I went to the Ocho Rios bus park and had to use the bathroom. It was a disgrace; and persons are sitting there collecting money!

Call them out, Dr Guy, full time for this to stop. I wish you had done the same with your party over the decades while they were in government; we would be better off today.
