Tivoli Enquiry: "It was a scene like when you kill pigs ...", says witness

KINGSTON, Jamaica:
A Tivoli Gardens resident has told the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry that at one point during the 2010 police-military operations in Tivoli Gardens that he saw a truck filled with dead bodies.

"Like meat ... You know when dem kill cow," John Green recounted as he sought to describe what he had seen.

However, Green, in his testimony before the enquiry being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston, said he could not count the number of bodies that were in the "white-ish truck".

"It was a scene like when you kill pigs the amount of bodies that were packed up in the truck", he testified.

He also testified that he also saw civilians putting another body in the vehicle.
