Reggae Boyz defender, Michael Hector, has apologised to his teammates for his defensive mistakes against Mexico in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup last night in the United States.

Hector made two huge blunders in the second half on which Mexico capitalised, scoring on both occasions.

Hector says the Jamaican footballers are very disappointed because the team played well enough to win the game.

However, he said the experience will make him a much better footballer.

Meanwhile, General manager of the Harbour View football club Clyde Jureidini says Reggae Boyz head coach Winfried Schafer's performance was "outstanding" at the tournament.

According to Jureidini, Schafer's tactical moves were on point throughout the tournament.

He also says Schafer handled his players well during the championships.
